The Indian River Lagoon is more than a body of water, it is an intracoastal sanctuary to thousands of mammals, birds and fish. Its waters are full of aquatic species such as the West Indian Manatees, Bottlenose Dolphins, numerous types of rays and an occasional alligator. However, the natural wonders of the Indian River Lagoon are not just limited to the water. There are numerous Islands throughout the lagoon (57 along the Space Coast alone) that are home to some 300 species of birds including 14 threatened or endangered species. Of the birds you are most likely to see are the Bald Eagle, Osprey, Brown Pelican, Rosette Spoonbill, and many, many more. If you have never experienced the natural Florida, this is a trip you shouldn't miss. Capt Doug is a seasoned naturalists who will show you the untamed beauty of Florida's wildlife and answer your questions about our lagoons ecosystem. Do not expect to touch, swim with or feed the animals! This is an Eco Tour where you will be a visitor in a fragile ecosystem. The worst problem we have in this area is that people want to interact with the wildlife. This is irresponsible, unethical and illegal. Many tours in this area bait, feed and allow their clients to touch the wildlife. This is considered molestation and is Illegal! By doing this they cause more deaths in these species than all the other threats combined. I will help you observe these creatures without disturbing them. This is a personalized eco-tour. You tell me what you want to see and I will help you experience first hand what our estuary has to offer. All of my eco-tours are limited to 4 people. If you have a larger group I can book a second boat. You will need to bring
Prices for Eco-tours $250 for a 4 hour personalized tour of the Indian or Banana River. I can accommodate up to 4 people. Children of all ages are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult. a second boat can be booked for an additional $250 To book your eco-tour call (321) 432-9470
